Swindon Town Centre

The Brunel CentreSwindon's Town Centre boasts a vast array of shops and facilities. Central to them is the Brunel Centre, a modern, covered shopping mall with a wide range of shops and amenities. Around the Brunel Centre are the pedestrianised shopping areas of Canal Walk, The Parade, Regent Street and Bridge Street, each of which houses a wide range of well-known brands and names. Plenty of Car Parks are available immediately adjacent or near the town centre shopping area.

Old Town

A visit to Swindon's Old Town area is a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Set in the old heart of Swindon, you will be surrounded by the splendour of Swindon's past. The area boasts many small shops selling antiques, curios, books and furnishings. There are many cafés, bars and restaurants for when you want a break from shopping.

Parking is easy and, if you want some open-air relaxation, the Lawns Park and Old Town Gardens are close by, as is the Swindon Museum and Art Gallery.

Great Western outlet villageThere is a fabulous selection of stores were you will find adults and children’s clothing, sportswear, jewellery, homeware, footware, toys, books and luggage.

But what makes Swindon Designer Outlet unique is its setting in the splendidly-restored Victorian buildings of the Great Western Railway works, where original memorabilia has been restored. A rare collection of overhead cranes, adorn the malls while a large central food court is dominated by a Great Western locomotive.

Easy parking is adjacent to the Designer Outlet and, if you want to take a break from shopping you can visit STEAM - Museum of the Great Western Railway which is only a few steps away.

Out-of-Town Shopping Centres

As well as the busy shopping areas in and around the central areas of Swindon you can visit a number of local shopping centres. Each with more than adequate parking adjacent to the shops, the out-of-town shopping centres are:

  • The Orbital Shopping Centre - Thamesdown Drive, Swindon, SN25 4AN
    Boasts a range of large household name stores, one of Europes largest supermarkets, a health and fitness centre, a modern library complex as well as a range of coffee shops and eating places.

  • The Greenbridge Retail and Leisure Park - Drakes Way, Swindon SN3 3SG
    Covering several acres, the facilities include large-store facilities for a range of goods from clothing to computers, DIY products to pharmacy goods and stationery to sportsware. The complex also includes a 12-screen multiplex cinema, a Bingo Club, a health and fitness club and many restaurants and fast food outlets.

  • The West Swindon Shopping Centre - Ashington Roundabout, Off Tewkesbury Way, Swindon SN5 7DL
    Facilities include a large supermarket, and many retail and service stores including a pharmacy, newsagents, jewellers, greeting card shop, a dry cleaners and post office. There is also a bank, several food outlets hairdressers, a pub and local estate agents offices. The shopping centre is close to both the Link Leisure Centre, the Shaw Ridge Leisure Park and the West Swindon Library.
